Ohio State Football: Game-by-game predictions for 2019 season
Playing on the weaker side of the Big Ten, the Indiana Hoosiers still struggled in 2018. Head coach Tom Allen has compiled a 10-15 record in Bloomington, and it’ll be tough to elevate in 2019.
Quarterback Peyton Ramsey threw for 2,875 yards last season, and threw 13 interceptions to only 19 touchdowns. He hasn’t been an effective deep ball thrower either, and this is an open position battle going into the year. Michael Penix Jr., a more effective runner with a stronger arm, will likely be the man this year. he was ready to do so last season, until a knee injury ended his year.
The Hoosier defense ranked in the 80s nationally in scoring, rushing, passing, and total defense, and it faces another uphill battle.
Prediction: Win (3-0, 1-0 Big Ten)
The Buckeyes are coming off of a matchup with a solid Cincinnati team, but there shouldn’t be a big emotional letdown as they travel to Bloomington. Ohio State is the more talented team, and they should tally their first Big Ten win on this road trip.
