Alabama: Tua Tagovailoa, QB

After a blowout loss to Clemson in the National Championship, Alabama has a very clear and defined goal. They want to get back to the top, and win a title. Leading them to that goal will be quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

With the Crimson Tide in revenge mode, Tua should rack up the stats. He threw for 3,966 yards and 43 touchdowns in 2018. If this team is truly re-energized, those numbers could get even better.

He has all of a quarterback’s best friends. Alex Leatherwood will protect Tua from elite pass rushers at the left tackle position. Henry Ruggs and Jerry Jeudy are two of the better weapons in the country. Jeudy especially is an elite player, and he’ll go down as one of the best wideouts in the school’s history when his career is finished.

In 2018, Kyler Murray emerged and took the Heisman trophy out of Tua’s hands. Alabama looks to avenge their title game loss, but that’s not the only award the Tide look to reclaim in the 2019.
