Maryland Football: New-look Terrapins aim for bowl berth in 2019

How will the Terrapins fare in 2019?

  • Week 1: Howard (Aug. 31)
  • Week 2: Syracuse (Sept. 7)
  • Week 3: at Temple (Sept. 14)
  • Week 4: BYE
  • Week 5: Penn State (Sept. 27)
  • Week 6: at Rutgers (Oct. 5)
  • Week 7: at Purdue (Oct. 12)
  • Week 8: Indiana (Oct. 19)
  • Week 9: at Minnesota (Oct. 26)
  • Week 10: Michigan (Nov. 2)
  • Week 11: at Ohio State (Nov. 9)
  • Week 12: BYE
  • Week 13: Nebraska (Nov. 23)
  • Week 14: at Michigan State (Nov. 30)

The Terps’ schedule does them no favors this season. They already have to deal with being in the same division with Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State and Michigan State. This season, they draw Syracuse and Temple in their non-conference.

With a complete overhaul of the coaching staff, and so many young and new players, this is about as close to a zero-year as you can get without actually calling it a zero-year.

Prediction: 4-8, 3-6 Big Ten

They could round into form an upset a team late because they are talented, but they are a year or two away from being what Mike Locksley truly envisions.
