Ole Miss and Arkansas are two teams that are being predicted to finish at the bottom of the SEC West. Both programs are coming off of losing seasons and 2019 will be tough for both programs to make a bowl game. With that said, this is a not only a huge game because it is the first SEC game for both teams, but this is a must win for both teams if they want to make a bowl game

Arkansas is 4-1 against Ole Miss the past five seasons with the only loss coming last year in a close game at 37-33. Arkansas’ only SEC win in 2017 came against Ole Miss.

Ole Miss is returning their leading rusher Scottie Phillips as well as the majority of their starting defense. However, the defense struggled mightily last year so there are bound to be several new starters. The Rebels lost several NFL receivers as well as their starting quarterback Jordan Ta’amu.

The Rebels will be breaking in new receivers and new quarterback Matt Corral, but do have two solid coordinators coming in with Rich Rodriguez taking over at offensive coordinator and Mike MacIntyre taking over as defensive coordinator.

This game will come down to the wire, but I think Ole Miss ultimately holds on to win the game.

Final Score: Arkansas 31, Ole Miss 34 (1-1, 0-1 SEC)
