Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn is potentially on the hottest seat in the SEC, as he seems to constantly be on it one season and off the next. He will be breaking in a new quarterback and both candidates are freshman with one being a true freshman and one being a redshirt freshman.

With Malzahn taking over play-calling duties, I would expect the Auburn offense to have more consistency than last year, despite breaking in a young quarterback.

Arkansas has lost the three previous matchups against Auburn with their last win against them coming in 2015 in a four-overtime game. Auburn blew out Arkansas last year in a 34-3 game, but I expect this year to be much different.

Auburn’s defense will do enough for it to dominate the line of scrimmage and the offense for the Tigers will do just enough to get a victory. Another close game that Arkansas finds itself on the losing end of.

Final Score: Auburn 31, Arkansas 24 (3-4, 0-4)
