The first ACC game of the year for the Seminoles comes against one of the surprise teams of 2018, the Virginia Cavaliers. They finished the season 8-5 and smoked South Carolina in the Belk Bowl by a score of 28-0.

Virginia returns one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in college football, Bryce Perkins. He had 34 total touchdowns in 2018 with nine interceptions. He also rushed for over 900 yards and threw for just under 2,700 yards.

Perkins will lead the Cavaliers again this year as they should be in the hunt for the ACC Coastal.

I expect this game to be a close game with Virginia holding on for the win and giving Florida State its first loss of the season as they open ACC play.

Final Score: Florida State 27, Virginia 35 (2-0, 0-1 ACC)
