How will the Wildcats fare in 2019?

  • Week 1: Toledo (Aug. 31)
  • Week 2: Eastern Michigan (Sept. 7)
  • Week 3: Florida (Sept. 14)
  • Week 4: at Mississippi State (Sept. 21)
  • Week 5: at South Carolina (Sept. 28)
  • Week 6: BYE
  • Week 7: Arkansas (Oct. 12)
  • Week 8: at Georgia (Oct. 19)
  • Week 9: Missouri (Oct. 26)
  • Week 10: BYE
  • Week 11: Tennessee (Nov. 9)
  • Week 12: at Vanderbilt (Nov. 16)
  • Week 13: Tennessee-Martin (Nov. 23)
  • Week 14: Louisville (Nov. 30)

Although Mark Stoops and his staff have to rebuild the defense, the schedule is kind to the Wildcats. In fact, they get Florida, Tennessee and Louisville at home. They should win at least two of those games.

Prediction: 7-5, 3-5 SEC

A manageable non-conference schedule and playing Mississippi State and Arkansas in their crossover should get them to their fourth straight postseason. What’s hard to predict is just how good they’re going to be. It’s not clear how deep the Wildcats are, so let’s play it safe with seven wins.
