Jayden Daniels will have big shoes to fill

The Sun Devils were a tough out last season. They played everyone tough and every loss in the regular season was by one possession or less.

They were the only Power Five school to have a 1,500-yard rusher, 3,000-yard passer and 1,000-yard receiver a year ago as well. If they are going to repeat that feat, they are going to do so with a new quarterback and a new go-to receiver as both Manny Wilkins and N’Keal Harry are gone.

Eno Benjamin and his 1,642 yards and 16 touchdowns return from last year’s offense. If the quarterback position comes around the offense should be really good with Benjamin as the workhorse.

Although there isn’t a freak athlete like Harry on the perimeter, Brandon Aiyuk and Kyle Williams and their other two top receivers will return to complement whoever starts at quarterback — Jayden Daniels was just named the starter over Dillon Sterling-Cole early in fall camp.

Both the quarterback and running back positions will benefit having an offensive line that returns four starters and might be the best unit this side of Oregon in the Pac-12.
