4. We saw our first de-commitment

We’ve been able to see some of the behind the scenes of an uncommitted quarterback before and a subsequent commitment when Justin Fields picked Georgia after a long road in Season 2, but this was the first time we witnessed a de-commitment in QB1: Beyond the Lights.

Even the Fields storyline in Season 2 was exciting as we witnessed a kid change his life forever by picking a school and it touched on the outside factors such as fans and family who were pushing him to make a decision one way or another — the local fans were obviously all for him to pick Georgia.

This season, we saw Lance LeGendre talk about his de-commitment from Kansas and admitted that he jumped on that offer early in the process and it wasn’t exactly the best decision for him, but rather the safest. A de-commitment seemed evident from the first episode on and he eventually opened his recruitment back up and wore gear from multiple different schools.
