Louisiana Monroe is coming off a 6-6 season as they barely missed a bowl game last year and was a middle of the pack Sun Belt team. Three of ULM’s non conference games consists of Florida State, Iowa State and Memphis so they will need to be one of the better Sun Belt teams this year to make a bowl game.

This will be Iowa State’s third straight home game and last contest until they open up Big 12 play.

Louisiana Monroe is led by veteran quarterback Caleb Evans, who is a threat with his legs as well as his throwing ability. The Warhawks have a chance to surprise some teams, but Iowa State won’t be one of those teams.

The only way Iowa State loses this game is if they are overlooking ULM and looking ahead to their match up against Baylor. Iowa State is in control the whole game, despite Evans making a few plays for the Warhawks.

Final Score: ULM 17, Iowa State 48 (3-0)
