Playing in Lubbock is always a dangerous place, regardless who is coming in. Last year, the Red Raiders finished 5-7, but almost upset Oklahoma, Texas and West Virginia at home and each team was ranked in the top 15 at the time of the game — they lost to Oklahoma by five, Texas by seven and West Virginia by eight.
Iowa State will be 6-0 heading into Lubbock and will be ranked somewhere around the No. 15 position by now. I have Texas Tech being better than last year, despite bringing in a new coaching staff. This is a very dangerous place for the Cyclones and a game that they could very well lose.
However, as of now I have Iowa State barely pulling it out and escaping Lubbock with a win. Texas Tech will be dangerous though and Iowa State better bring its best football here to win.
Final Score: Iowa State 41, Texas Tech 34 (7-0, 4-0)
