Like Oklahoma is with quarterbacks, Clemson has been with receivers. Dabo Swinney has developed some of the best pass-catchers in all of college football over the past few years. That won’t change heading into 2019 with arguably two of the top three wideouts in the country.

Tee Higgins doesn’t get as much recognition as another Tiger receiver who will be named later, but he may be every bit as good. Also, he’s a year older than his teammate who is ranked higher on this list, so that experience will help him plenty in 2019.

The former five-star and top-20 recruit in the nation from Tennessee had a decent freshman season, catching 17 passes for 345 yards and two touchdowns.

However, Higgins burst onto the scene and took advantage of having Trevor Lawrence as his quarterback in 2018, catching 59 passes for 936 yards and 12 touchdowns. He was a touchdown machine and it’s hard not to be with a 6-5, 205-pound frame.

Clemson will have no problem developing him into the next 1,000-yard receiver. He should have no problem reaching that mark in 2019, as long as he remains healthy.

Talk about a matchup nightmare, Higgins is 6-foot-4 and freakishly athletic. It’ll be tough for any defensive back to even keep him in check.
