Washington Football: Will Jacob Eason lead Huskies to Pac-12 title?
By Dante Pryor
Jacob Eason came home to lead Huskies
The strength of this team is its offensive line. They are big, athletic, nasty and experienced. Nick Harris, a four-year starter and All-Pac-12 performer, anchors the offensive line. They get Trey Adams, an All-Pac-12 tackle as a sophomore, back from injury.
The Huskies’ stout offensive line will create lanes for someone not named Myles Gaskin for the first time since 2014. It will be a bit of a rotation with true junior Salvon Ahmed leading the rotation. Sean McGrew and Kamari Pleasant will be part of the rotation along with freshman Cameron Davis getting some carries.
This offense hinges on how much of the offense Georgia-transfer and Washington native Jacob Eason picked up sitting and watching Jake Browning last season.
Eason has all the measurables — 6-foot-6, 228 pounds with a rocket-launcher for a right arm. He was the No. 2 pro-style quarterback and the No. 5 recruit in the country coming out of Lake Stevens, Wash., in 2016. Not only that but apparently he has a bit of a chip on his shoulder.
