Notre Dame Football: Irish ready for another playoff run in 2019

It was a brutal way to end the season, but Notre Dame football’s 2018 Playoff exit should have the Irish hungry for another run in 2019.

The first few drives of the 2018 Cotton Bowl made it seem as if we were going to have a close one on our hands, but it turned out that the Irish were only a couple injuries away from being completely outmatched against a Clemson squad that went on to do virtually the same thing against a stunned Alabama team.

There have been quite a few tweaks and changes made on this roster since the end of the 2018 season, but the Irish have retained enough core players to make yet another run at the College Football Playoff in 2019.

With that said, there have been enough significant changes to warrant some concern for the upcoming season. Nevertheless, head coach Brian Kelly should have his squad ready to compete when the Irish roll into Louisville to start the season.
