8. Boise State University: Albertsons Stadium

The Boise State Broncos have one of the more iconic stadiums in all of college football, boasting blue turf inside Albertsons Stadium. Of course, this stadium is so much more than just the blue turf the players play on, it is about having one of the better home-field advantages in the nation yearly.

While the Boise State program may not play in a Power 5 conference, they have certainly put themselves on the map during the last two decades. Now a perennial power and a stellar football program, the Broncos play in front of some of the more rabid fans in the nation. They have the winning percentage to prove it.

The blue turf was put in over 30 years ago, becoming the first non-green playing surface in college football. Affectionately referred to as “the Blue,” it is widely regarded as a top-10 field in the country. From the 1999 season through the 2018 campaign, the Broncos have posted a 93.1 winning percentage at home.

From 1999 through 2011, the Broncos did not lose a single home game within the conference, reeling off 47 straight victories on their blue turf. Their dominance at home is matched by very few programs in all of college football.

While the stadium does not seat anywhere near the number of fans as places like Beaver Stadium, or the Big House, winning nearly 95 percent of your home games since 1999 is just an absurd number. It speaks to this incredible home-field advantage had by the Broncos football program.
