27. Michigan State

The good

College Football Playoff crashers Michigan State have been stalwarts in the Big Ten for decades. Although not quite a blue blood program, the tradition and pride of the green and white are known from coast to coast.

The bad

Mark Dantonio is a highly regarded coach, but his struggles to break through in a tough Big Ten West keep the zeal from bursting forth from East Lansing. Michigan State tends toward good, not great.

The bottom line

You can’t fault a fan base for their team’s lack of offensive production. Michigan State has the unenviable task of contending in one of the toughest divisions in college football. The Spartans know the tall task ahead of them every year, and they rise to the challenge time and time again.

It doesn’t matter if the weather proves unpleasant or the final score is getting out of hand one way or another early, Michigan State fans pack Spartan Stadium.
