Kirby Smart has established Georgia as one of the top programs in the entire country. The Bulldogs won 11 games last season, but ended the year with back-to-back losses to Alabama and Texas.

Jim Chaney is at Tennessee now, so James Coley will be the offensive coordinator. There’s an elite quarterback in Jake Fromm, and a Heisman candidate in D’Andre Swift, so this unit should still be very productive.

They’ll have to replace some key defenders, including cornerback Deandre Baker and linebacker D’Andre Walker. They recently lost Brenton Cox, and he’ll now be at rival Florida.

The Auburn roster can hang with some of the best in the country. The big question is the freshman in quarterback. By November, Gatewood or Nix will be hitting their tenth game. They’ll have big game experience against Oregon, Texas A&M, Florida, and LSU, and none of those matchups come at home.

Playing Georgia at home will be a challenge, but it won’t be an un-winnable situation for the Tiger passer.

Prediction: Win (7-3, 4-3)
