After a huge opener, Auburn will get a group of five opponent at home in Week 2. Willie Fritz’s Tulane team reached a bowl for the first time in five years, but still made changes to a program that won six games a year ago. Most notably, the Green Wave will replace offensive coordinator Doug Ruse as Will Hall will take over.

The defense is what will carry Tulane. Jack Curtis’ unit ranked third in the AAC in total defense, and they return eight starters from a season ago. The line is the signature group on this defense, and while being deeply experienced, they have no seniors. It’s a dominant unit that still has two seasons ahead of them.

If Auburn beats Oregon, this matchup will move them to 2-0. Should they lose, this game will immediately get them back to .500. The Tigers don’t have an easy schedule, so they’ll have to take advantage of the few weeks like this.

Prediction: Win (2-0)
