These are exciting times in Baton Rouge. Finally, after years of waiting, that classic LSU physicality may finally be paired with a creative, modern offensive scheme. Joe Brady comes from the New Orleans Saints to coach the Tiger offense. Leading the charge will be a quarterback in Joe Burrow that can get it done with both his arm and his legs.

The defense will, as LSU has shown the ability to do, reload. Michael Divinity and K’Lavon Chaisson will man the outside linebacker positions. Grant Delpit is the best player on the defense, and he’ll anchor the back end at strong safety.

LSU won ten games a year, so it’s very obvious that their goals are playoff-oriented. They’re a talented enough team to reach those goals.

Auburn doesn’t have a good track record in Baton Rouge. They haven’t won in Death Valley since 1999, and it’ll be a tall task again now 20 years later.

Prediction: Loss (5-3, 2-3)
