The Mountaineers and Baylor Bears will meet on Thursday, Oct. 31, at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN. That’s right, a Halloween game in prime time. Both teams will be coming off a bye week, so the Thursday game day won’t be something either team should complain about.

Matt Rhule and the Bears finished 7-6 last season, including a 45-38 Texas Bowl victory against Vanderbilt. His first season wasn’t as prosperous, as the Bears went just 1-11. This season’s win total ill be closer to seven than one, but they won’t add a victory against WVU.

A Thursday night game on the road in Texas — on Halloween — doesn’t sound like an easy trip for a bunch of college athletes. But Neal Brown and the Mountaineers will be itching to get back on the field after the Oklahoma game and a bye week. Expect the ‘Eers to come out firing.

Prediction: Baylor 24, West Virginia 44 (4-4, 2-3)
