Oklahoma State Football: 3 bold predictions vs. Oregon State in Week 1
By Dante Pryor
1. Oregon State pulls off the upset
Ladies and gentlemen, if you wager, the over/under win total for the Beavers is two. Take the over, and it starts Week 1 against the Cowboys. This is just one of those games that just doesn’t smell right if you are an Oklahoma State football fan.
They travel to Corvallis, and it’s one of those out-of-the-way places — like Pullman, Wash. — that isn’t easy to get to. You fly in to either Portland or Eugene. If you fly into Eugene its about a 45-minute bus ride to Corvallis. If you have to fly into Portland, it’s about an hour and a half.
Reser Stadium is nice, but it isn’t Autzen or Husky Stadium. It’s a 7:30 PT (8:30 MT) start, so the Cowboys are going to be sitting around all day waiting to play. Then it’s Oregon (State) — the Beavers not the Ducks.
With an improved offense going against a not so good Cowboy defense, the Beavers will have every chance to win. Not only that, Gundy and the Cowboys are always good for losing one they shouldn’t and that happens Week 1 this year.
