Travis Etienne. 16. Scouting Report. RB. Clemson. Pick Analysis. player. 26

Travis Etienne trades one shade of purple (even though Clemson doesn’t wear it as much as they should) for another shade of purple in this mock draft. And if this happens, that Baltimore offense becomes absolutely electric.

The Ravens could look to defense in the first round, especially after drafting Hollywood Brown in the first in the 2019 draft, but that’s exactly why I have Etienne going here. Because pairing the home run ability of Brown up with Etienne, plus having Lamar Jackson at the helm of the offense, is just too much fun. What other offense would you want to play Madden with than this one?

Etienne isn’t undeserving of this pick though, jokes aside. He’s truly explosive both as a runner and receiver, and I expect him to go in the first round in 2020. Jackson isn’t going to be an elite passer so getting weapons around him that can work with small amounts of space is the way to go. I don’t know who does that better in this draft than Etienne. And again, it can’t be overstated how dangerous that trio would be.

Baltimore has one of the more respected front offices in the NFL so I would be surprised to see them go with skill position players in back-to-back first rounds. It’s generally not what teams do. Especially the smart ones. But the upside of Etienne is just too much for me to pass up here.
