Scouting Report. DL. player. 124. Pick Analysis. Alabama. Raekwon Davis. 31

The Chiefs had one of the best offenses in NFL history last year and the defense couldn’t stop a nose bleed most weeks. They have done some work remedying the defense, but it still needs a lot of work. Getting a guy like Raekwon Davis to stick in the trenches late in the first round would go a long way in helping the defense get to a level capable of complementing the offense.

Davis was looking like a top-five pick heading into last year before being overshadowed by Quinnen Williams and not producing anywhere near his 2017 numbers. If he wants to go in the first round in 2020 he will have to get back to his old ways and take that final step forward. If he does, he might not even be available here for the Chiefs.

Davis is massive, strong, and had 8.5 sacks two years ago for the Crimson Tide. He has the potential. He just has to put it on paper and show it on the field.

All in all, I think Davis is too good of a talent to not go in the first round. Especially for a team with so many holes on defense. Putting this man next to Chris Jones would give the Chiefs something to build off on defense while the offense continues to put up a million points each week.
