3. More consistency from two-QB system

Brandon Wimbush had his first UCF game in Week 1, and his stats paint an interesting picture.

He threw for 168 yards and two touchdowns in a two quarterback system, but his completion percentage was only just above 50 percent. He was efficient, and had some nice deep balls for touchdowns. However, he had multiple passes that could’ve been better, including a couple of wide open passes down the field and a couple of screens that landed in the stands.

The impressive quarterback was true freshman Dillon Gabriel who threw for 127 yards and three touchdowns in just 13 passes to start the season. He was an efficient passer, tearing apart the Rattler defense with throws at all three levels of the field.

The Knights will need more of the same from their two main quarterbacks, while also finding more cohesion as the schedule progresses. A lot of the screen passes felt a half second slower than the Knights are capable of, and as the schedule gets tougher, the offense will need to hit their stride.
