LSU football is set to travel to Austin to take on the Texas Longhorns in prime time on Saturday evening. Here are three keys for a Tiger win.

This is our marquee match up of the week. The Tigers and the Longhorns tangle in an intense non-conference match up in Austin Texas. Here are three keys to a Tigers win.

3. The Tigers’ defensive line must win up front

It is imperative for the Tigers win up front. This starts on defense, and it starts with the Tigers beating the Longhorn offensive line. Sam Ehlinger can make plays with his legs, but if the defensive line can get home without the blitz that will change what LSU does.

Ehlinger is going to be they lynch pin of the offense. He’s their best run threat and he’s going to want to connect with wider receiver Colin Johnson. LSU’s goal should be to make the Longhorns one dimensional.

The Tiger’s defensive line aren’t just talented, they are “We’ll be playing in the NFL” talented. They need to use that and show up like a line that is going to play for pay sooner rather than later. Texas’ offensive line is good, but LSU has the advantage here, and need to play like it.
