1. Too many mistakes for Michigan

The offensive struggles were a huge facet of this game, but through two weeks, the mistakes for Michigan have been just as concerning.

In Week 1 against Middle Tennessee State, the Wolverines turned the ball over twice and committed eight penalties. They won handily, but only because of the inferior opponent. Against Army, it was a similar story, but against a far better opponent. The Wolverines turned it over three times and committed nine penalties against the Black Knights.

If Harbaugh’s team continues to play like this, they won’t be undefeated for much longer. They travel to Madison in two weeks, and Paul Chryst’s team is a Top 25 squad with a Heisman favorite running back.

A trip to Penn State is also on the schedule, along with dates on which Michigan plays host to Michigan State, Ohio State and Iowa. If the Wolverines give the ball away multiple times again in any of those games, Harbaugh’s team won’t escape with a victory.
