3. The Irish beat Georgia by double digits

Notre Dame and Georgia have met only twice in the respective histories of both programs, with their latest meeting resulting in a 20-19 Bulldogs victory. However, the Irish will have a chance for revenge as they take on Georgia in Week 4 of the young season. This time the Irish will be bringing an offense with significantly more upside than the one they had in 2017.

More from Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Georgia impressed in their Week 1 matchup, taking down Vanderbilt by a score of 30-6. The Bulldogs will have very little competition until their matchup with the Irish, taking on Murray State and Arkansas State in back to back games at home.

Notre Dame won’t have much more with New Mexico as the only team between them and the Bulldogs.

Predicting a win over Georgia on the road may be bold in and of itself, but the Irish would love nothing more than a statement win over the Bulldogs to get them over that big game hump. However, the Irish will need both the offense and defense to play at nearly peak performance on each and every snap as there is little to no room for error against a team like this on the road.
