1. A light at the end of the tunnel for FSU

In the last two weeks, Florida State has played close games, but they were close for bad reasons. Against Boise State in Week 1, the Seminoles blew an 18 point halftime lead. Against UL-Monroe, Florida State needed overtime to get a victory against a far less talented team from the Sun Belt.

On Saturday night, Taggart’s team was once again in a tight affair, but this time, it wasn’t so negative. The Seminoles played close down the stretch with a top 25 team.

Things have gone so poorly for this program. Since Taggart’s arrival, it has been an endless stream of negative publicity and struggle.

Finally, on Saturday night, this team played a really good football game. They didn’t look like national champions, or even ACC champions, but they played well.
