Winners

Winner: TCU (Not Ranked to No. 25)

I am not sure I agree with this pick for a spot in the rankings. Wins against Arkansas Pine Bluff and Purdue are expected when you are TCU, but here we are and the Frogs are in the top 25. They face off against SMU in Week 4, so they likely won’t be in the loss column then either. Undefeated is great and all, but I just don’t think the Horned Frogs really deserve this spot. They are winners this week none the less though.

Winner: UCF (No. 17 to No. 15)

Not too long ago, the Stanford Cardinal were a ranked team. Now, they are just another Pac-12 team that is disappointing at best and UCF exploited that in a big way. They won 45-2, starting the season 3-0. They haven’t really faced off against anyone that would really challenge them as of yet and they really won’t as the season continues to roll. No one on that schedule is ranked or has any chance to push into the rankings, so UCF will be ranked throughout the season and will likely be undefeated once again as the season comes to an end.

Winner: Virginia (No. 25 to No. 21)

It was close, much closer than it should have been, but Virginia knocked out Florida State and as a result, moved up four spots to No. 21. They are another team that doesn’t really have a notable win as of yet and it is unclear as to if they won that game or if Florida State blew it — again. We will see what Virginia is really made of in a couple of weeks though when they face off against top 10 Notre Dame.
