bye week. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 809. NEXT: 9/21 vs. Michigan. Wisconsin Badgers. 14

Wisconsin took their first bye week in Week 3, and as a result they remain the only team in the country that has yet to give up a single point on the gridiron. The 2-0 Badgers opened the year with dominant home shutouts of overmatched South Florida and Central Michigan. No defense is giving up fewer points than the 107.5 yards per game allowed by the Badgers to the Bulls and Chippewas.

Paul Chryst’s team has also taken care of business on offense. Jonathan Taylor has a seven-game streak of 100-yard games running the football, piling up 102 yards against Central Michigan in Week 2 after a 135-yard showing against South Florida. Jack Coan has looked great at quarterback, completing more than 76 percent of his passes for 282 yards per game. Most importantly, he has yet to throw an interception.

After the bye week, Wisconsin has a major interdivisional showdown in a Top 25 matchup against Michigan. It will be a great litmus test for the Badgers offense, as the defense will almost certainly provide plenty of support and opportunities for Coan and company to work with the football.
