College Football Rankings 2019: Projected Top 25, Week 4 – Clemson makes statement
By Zach Bigalke
In a key intersectional showdown against a rising Purdue team, TCU played its way into the AP Top 25 on Saturday night in a 34-13 takedown of the Boilermakers in West Lafayette. The Horned Frogs will open up somewhere in the twenties of the next poll released ahead of Week 4 play, after holding their hosts to 23 rushing yards on 25 carries and allowing the Boilermakers only 204 total yards on offense.
When they had the ball, TCU struggled to throw the ball. Max Duggan and Alex Delton combined to go 8-of-24 for 75 yards, with one touchdown and one pick along the way. But the ground game picked up the Horned Frogs, as Darius Anderson and Sewo Olonilua each finished over 100 rushing yards. Anderson had two touchdowns on the ground, with Olonilua adding another to add to the margin of victory.
Next week the Horned Frogs will take their new ranking home to square off against SMU in the Battle for the Iron Skillet. From there it all comes down to Big 12 play for the conference dark-horse.
