1. Kedon Slovis must play better

The Air-Raid is perfect when you have a true freshman quarterback having to step in and play right away. It’s a simple offense to learn and you the key to the offense is to get the ball out quickly. Alas, freshmen will play like freshmen.

Kedon Slovis is no exception.

A three-star out of Arizona, Slovis was not highly-touted his claim to fame was having former NFL quarterback Kurt Warner as his quarterbacks coach in high school. He earned his keep beating out Chris Fink and Jack Sears to back up JT Daniels.

Slovis has stepped in and played decent, but he’ll have to play beyond his years against the Utes. He has to take care of the ball and not throw three interceptions.

If the Trojans have to put the ball in his hands because they can’t run, or late in the game to put them in position to win, Slovis has to make better decisions than he did against BYU.
