2. Kellen Mond surprises

Kellen Mond has been one of the most criticized quarterbacks in the country for a couple of years. Coming off the heels of Johnny Manziel and being a five-star recruit, the expectations for Mond were sky-high.

Fair or unfair, Mond struggled in his first two years as an Aggie and was benched multiple times. Mond has turned it around in his first three games as a junior and has looked great going into the first SEC game of 2019.

Mond comes in with over 700 passing yards and has completed over 64 percent of his passes coming into Saturday. By limiting the mistakes and turnovers, Mond has Texas A&M poised for a great season and looks to compete at the top of the SEC conference.

Kellen Mond and the Aggie offense have a tough task at home against Auburn so it will be interesting to see if they are up for the challenge. Look for Mond to take some shots early and get the Aggie faithful going. Mond is now an experienced SEC guy that should be able to live up to the moment.
