2. Keep pounding the rock

I said above, Pitt has struggled in a lot of different areas, one is in the run game. They’re currently No. 49 in run defense, which is respectable, but they’ve given up nearly 110 yards per game, and really struggled against Penn State.

Journey Brown ran for 109 yards on only 10 carries, and found a lot of success in a limited workload. Penn State as a team ran for 167 yards.

Good news for the Knights, they’re one of the best running teams in the country. UCF is no. 10 in rushing offense, gaining nearly 282 yards per game. McCrae and Killins continue to be a deadly one-two punch, and they should continue to find success in this one.

A good rushing attack does a lot of things for the Knights, including keeping the strong Pitt pass rush at bay. Giving Gabriel more time to throw is a level of unpredictability that UCF has thrived off on offense, and they need to run the ball well to continue to have that success.
