2. Stop blaming Kellen Mond for the loss

Let’s make this perfectly clear. There are people all over social media blaming Kellen Mond for this loss and I’m here to shut that down in a hurry. At no point in watching this game did I think that if Texas A&M had a different quarterback, this game would be vastly different.

This kid put the team on his back and did as much as he could to bring this team back. Yes, there were missed throws. Yes, his receivers did not help him as they should have and the running game was non-existent.

Yes, Mond did not make every throw and it took until the end of the fourth quarter for the offense to start clicking on all cylinders, but I don’t blame him specifically for this loss. He went 31-for-49 for 335 yards and two touchdowns. Could it have been better? Sure. Was it a horrible, disappointing performance that caused his team to lose? Not at all.

I do, however, think it is time to give some of those younger wideouts a chance. There were a bunch of plays that I think could have been made and some that were absolutely impressively made. However, at this point there is nothing that could get worse. They will likely end up as a 7-5 team at the best right now, so why not give those guys some reps?
