1. Bryce Perkins continues to be Virginia’s X-Factor

Virginia has found their identity thanks to a relentless defense and crafty quarterback play out of their senior signal-caller, Bryce Perkins. He continues to impress under center for the Cavaliers, as he continually makes a difference in tight games.

Saturday night was no different, as Old Dominion put UVA in a corner in the first half and left the offense reeling. Needing a play, Virginia turned to Perkins, whose second quarter touchdown scramble on fourth down turned the tide for the Cavaliers.

That touchdown run by Perkins was the first of 28 unanswered points that the ‘Hoos would rattle off in their come-from-behind victory to move to 4-0.

Perkins finished 15-of-24 for 175 yards and a touchdown through the air, and had 35 yards and the one touchdown on the ground. His leadership and poise have been evident, and have led Virginia to an undefeated opening month thus far.
