3. Anthony Gordon is for real

You may think to lead the air raid offense as a quarterback is an easy task. Slinging it all over the football field and being able to play within a system that truly is based on high percentage throws and opportunities across the board. Anthony Gordon has not only played well within this system, but he has also embraced the opportunity as a senior and looks more comfortable than any other quarterback that we have seen.

When evaluating Gordon’s performance, there were many temptations to overreact to a game against a struggling UCLA team. What can you really say, though? He threw for 570 yards and added a record-setting nine touchdowns to his already impressive season total, which is now at 21.

Gordon needs to be taken seriously and should be in the conversation for one of the best quarterbacks in the country with how he is playing right now. There will be more tests down the line here soon so we will get to really get a better look.

The Cougs are at Utah and Arizona State in consecutive weeks who are currently ranked within the top 25 and should be some of the toughest opponents WSU will face.
