3. Georgia

Of the top four, Georgia was in the most entertaining game of the weekend by far. The Bulldogs hosted Notre Dame in Athens, and Kirby Smart‘s team held down their home field by a score of 23-17.

It’s important to note that the final score comes after a late Irish surge. For the better part of this game, the Bulldogs were firmly in control.

D’Andre Swift had 98 yards on the ground, and Brian Herrien added 42. Jake Fromm wasn’t electric through the air, but he again made the throws he needed to in big spots.

This, once again, has the look of a team that can challenge Alabama. Perhaps, this team is good enough to even beat the Tide.

We haven’t yet to see Alabama challenged, so a lot of assuming still has to happen. As far as Georgia goes, however, Saturday showed us that the Bulldogs are once again a threat.
