Pick Analysis. 2-2, 0-1. Last Week: 9. 10. Scouting Report. Kansas Jayhawks. player. 821

The Jayhawks are No. 10 because they aren’t a good football team, but they are playing as good as they have in a long time. It shows with how competitive they’ve been this season. They haven’t had the doors blown off — yet. They didn’t play well against Coastal Carolina, but they out-played Boston College. Not only did they out-play BC, they were more physical; something the Eagles supposedly do well. They lost a close game against West Virginia 29-24. I don’t know if they’ll win a Big 12 game, but teams can’t fool around with the Jayhawks.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Last Week: 10. Texas Tech Red Raiders. 9. player. 2-1. 874

The Red Raiders were off last week and they travel to Norman and take on the Oklahoma Sooners in Week 5. They are coming off a 28-14 loss to an Arizona team with one of the worst defenses in college football, so the Wildcats decided to run the ball a lot. The Wildcats ran the ball 60 times for 314 yards. That doesn’t bode well going to Memorial Stadium and trying to stop Jalen Hurts and Trey Sermon.

3-1, 1-0. Last Week: 8. West Virginia Moutaineers. 8. Scouting Report. player. 877. Pick Analysis

The Mountaineers, supposedly in a rebuilding year, find themselves 3-1 after a hard fought 29-24 win against Kansas last week. The Mountaineers have put together two solid wins in a row for first-year head coach Neal Brown. Their next three games, however, will be quite daunting. They get Texas at home after an off week, then host Iowa State, and travel to Norman for a date with the Sooners in mid-October. Those games will let Mountaineer fans, and Brown know how much he has to build in Morgantown.

Scouting Report. Last Week: 5. 7. Pick Analysis. 3-0. Kansas State Wildcats. player. 823

The Wildcats are off to a solid 3-0 start after a surprise win in Starkville against Mississippi State. It wasn’t pretty with four fumbles and seven penalties, but they got it done. They have a lot to work on before they go back on the road and take on Oklahoma State and their high-powered offense in Stillwater. It’s going to be hard to stop the trio of Chuba Hubbard, Spencer Sanders and Tylan Wallace, but if they can muck it up like they did in Starkville they might have a shot. They can’t make mistakes because the Pokes have the firepower to make you pay.
