Scouting Report. Grant Delpit. 10. S. LSU. player. 45. Pick Analysis

During this past offseason, the Denver Broncos picked up quarterback Joe Flacco from the Ravens in what is most likely a short-term solution, so the chances of the taking a quarterback are low, especially if it is not one of top players at the position.

The Broncos are entering Week 4 of the NFL season without any sacks or turnovers created by their defense. The sack issue can be easily resolved with a defensive line led by All-Pro Von Miller.

What the Broncos need is a tone-setter in the back-end of their secondary and that’s exactly what they’ll get with safety Grant Delpit.

Delpit is great in the pass game but also brings that extra edge of being able to defend the run from the safety position. Combine this with his speed and athleticism, Delpit being drafted at 10th overall could be considered a drop for him as many scouts view him as a top-five prospect in the 2020 class.
