player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. DT. Auburn. Derrick Brown. 11. 35

The Tennessee Titans are one of the few teams that could end up drafting the best available player on the board, but they need an X-factor on the defensive line.

Derrick Brown out of Auburn is one of the best defensive linemen in the draft and could easily be taken within the top 10, but in this case he just misses that mark, falling to No. 11. In his junior year, Brown finished with 10.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks, both career highs, and is on pace to improve from those numbers this season.

Brown is quick off the line and has multiple tools to beat his blocker and get involved in the play early. One of the scarier traits of him is that he his 6-foot-5 and weighs 318 pounds, but is by no means a “fat” lineman but instead an athletic specimen that provides some kind of disruption on almost every play that comes his way.

The Titans are an average team and could use Brown as a stepping stone to the next level.
