Pick Analysis. Clemson. Isaiah Simmons. 28. Scouting Report. LB. 12. player

The Oakland Raiders could use one of their two picks for a wide receiver and with the talent at the position, they’ll look to fix an issue on defense they’ve had for the past several seasons.

Linebacker is a much needed spot in the Raiders’ defense that Clemson standout Isaiah Simmons can easily fix. He is college football’s best linebacker and will be the first taken off the board at the position in 2020.

From making the open field tackle to dropping into coverage, Simmons provides all the basic traits needed in a linebacker. But what makes him stick out from the crowd is his versatility during plays. Simmons is able to adjust from run coverage to pass coverage fluidly, almost as if coverage was what he was playing the entire play.

With the offensive fire power in the AFC West, Simmons will provide an immediate impact for the Raiders’ defense.
