Penn State. 50. DE. 13. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Yetur Gross-Matos

The Detroit Lions are currently 2-0-1 and fans are hopeful of this quick start. While a playoff berth is still a far reach for Detroit, finishing with a pick around the middle of the first round is more than likely.

There are a few positional needs the Lions should focus on in the 2020 NFL Draft, but their primary focus should be that on the defensive line. And keeping Yetur Gross-Matos a Lion, just in a different shade of blue, would be an excellent pick.

Gross-Matos improved dramatically from his freshman to sophomore years, ending with a spot on the All-Big Ten first team. He has a quick first step and already this season has shown more improvement.

While some view him as a project, Gross-Matos has proven himself to be a top talent heading into the 2020 draft, and a perfect fit to a Lions team trying to keep pace in the NFC North.
