Scouting Report. Alabama. Trevon Diggs. 21. 42. Pick Analysis. CB. player

In 2019, only one corner back was taken off the board in the first round, but for 2020 expect the opposite, as there are a handful of corners with first round talent. And just like their division rival, the San Francisco 49ers address their secondary and draft Trevon Diggs, a corner out of Alabama.

Diggs has NFL blood as his older brother, Stefon, is a wide receiver of the Minnesota Vikings.

Diggs entered 2019 coming off a leg injury that ended his 2018 season at the halfway point, but we saw plenty to see what he is capable of. He proved to be a versatile corner, lining up on both sides of the field, and playing on both the inside and the outside. This translates to fact that Diggs can guard one player for an entire game, no matter he lines up or Diggs can open up the defensive game plan by being moved around.

The 49ers are trending up and this high IQ corner is the right pick to improve their defense.
