2020 NFL Mock Draft, Week 6: Chase Young takes top spot
By Phil Poling
The Seattle Seahawks have found success by drafting Big 12 wide receivers in the past, most notably Kansas State’s Tyler Lockett. And while Lockett is a stud both on offense and special teams, Oklahoma’s CeeDee Lamb would add a dynamic to Pete Carroll’s offense they’ve lacked during most of his tenure there.

Giving quarterback Russell Wilson another option on the outside is something they’ve struggled with for awhile, too. Golden Tate played well early in Wilson’s career before leaving for the Detroit Lions. And Doug Baldwin, who’s third on the franchise’s list for career receptions, retired following last season. That’s a depleted bunch, and Lamb would provide an immediate spark who can contribute from day one.
Lamb isn’t quite the speedster that former Oklahoma teammate Marquise “Hollywood” Brown is, but he’s got better size at 6-foot-2 with enough speed to become a big-time target in the NFL. Couple that with their 2019 NFL Draft pick D.K. Metcalf, and the Seahawks could have one of the best young receiving corps in all of the NFL.
