Jerry Jeudy. 3. player. 32. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Wide Receiver. Alabama Crimson Tide

The Arizona Cardinals aren’t off to the hottest start under first-year head coach Kliff Kingsbury, and they could certainly use some protection for Kyler Murray, their first round pick from a season ago. But Kingsbury is all about scoring, and lineman don’t directly put points on the scoreboard. And with Alabama’s Jerry Jeudy available at No. 3, the Cardinals have to snag him for their offense.

The 6-foot-1 junior totaled 14 touchdowns a season ago for the the Tide, and already has six through five games in 2019, including a three-score outing against New Mexico State. He doesn’t tower over defenders with his height, but he’s not as small as the Cardinals’ signal-caller. Plus, he’s got great speed and continues to get better at running routes, making him an excellent prospect at wide receiver.

Larry Fitzgerald isn’t going to play football forever, and Christian Kirk has been solid thus far for Arizona. But adding a young player like Jeudy — with his winning pedigree — will do wonders for the Cardinals’ franchise. He’ll come in and work hard from day one while also being able to produce. What more could you ask from a first round pick?
