2020 NFL Mock Draft, Week 6: Chase Young takes top spot
By Phil Poling
Whether or not you believe Joe Flacco is or ever has been elite doesn’t matter, one thing is for certain: the Denver Broncos need to find their quarterback of the future. And with a likely-high draft pick in 2020, there’ll be plenty to choose from. Jake Fromm from Georgia could be their guy.
Fromm’s beat out multiple five-star recruits out to remain the starter for the Bulldogs, and although they’re seeing success elsewhere, Fromm has proven to be the right choice for Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs. He’s posted a 60-13 touchdown-to-interception ratio over the course of his career, while also improving his quarterback rating and his average yards-per-attempt.
Georgia’s gone 28-5 with Fromm under center, including nine wins against ranked opponents. He’s yet to lead them to a National Championship win, but 2019 could be the year.
