How did the ACC football power rankings shake out this week? Who rose? Who fell? Be sure to check back every week for the latest edition.
This week in “As the ACC turns”, the Demon Deacons find a way to win another close game as this time they clip the wings of the Boston College Eagles. The Hokies got “cooked” in the Blue Devils pit.
What could be worse than losing to a mythical rooster you say? Well, Pitt almost answered that question by eking out a win against colorful chickens. The Orange proved they are very good at being bullies, until they are bullied. James Graham hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the third — wait that wasn’t Yellow Jacket baseball? The ‘Jackets are good at baseball, so how did they score two? Oh yeah, a safety. Well Geoff Collins and the Jackets are figuring out offense using the forward pass; they threw for over 100 yards in this one.
The Cavaliers and Irish decided to read “A Tale of Two Cities” and re-enact the opening monologue renaming it, “A Tale of Two Halves.” Sam Howell is still a North Carolina legend — just wanted to say that.
Florida State cracked the code on how to play a four-quarter game, Clemson just woke up and Dabo Swinney is trying to explain to his players how they actually played and won while sleep-walking.
All this on “As the ACC turns” and with all due respect to the “Textile Bowl” or “The Rivalry that really ain’t” here are this week’s ACC power rankings.
