Boise State Football: 5 bold predictions for October 2019
3. BYU makes it interesting
BYU has had a very up and down season coming into the month of October. With wins over USC and Tennessee on the road, they look like a team that has loads of potential. Then, just when you think BYU is turning the corner, they lose to Toledo. They come into the month of October 2-3 and have a game at South Florida before coming home to play Boise State.

The rivalry will be heating up as Boise State could go into Provo to end their October undefeated and still atop the Group of Five. BYU will be shooting for a bowl birth but could be playing with nothing to lose which is dangerous in a rivalry game.
Sophomore Zach Wilson injured his hand in the game against Toledo and had to be replaced. He will look to get healthy as the former Boise State commit would make a huge difference in his home field but he’s expected to be out for 6-8 weeks. Boise State should be able to wrap up October 7-0, but BYU poses the biggest threat left in the Broncos schedule and there would be no surprise if they slipped up on the road.
