2. Broncos make statement

Boise State has played almost every game this season close. Besides their lone FCS game at home against Portland State, every game they have played has been within range going into the fourth quarter for the opponents. Coming all the way back against Florida State in the second half, and beating Marshall 14-7, the Broncos are poised for a game where they really go off on offense and defense. Boise State has yet to really play a complete game, this might all change going into Vegas.

UNLV has struggled all year and dropped three in a row, seemingly completely out of the Mountain West race before it even begins. This is a big-time game late night on ESPN for Boise State to make one of the biggest statements of the year and put huge numbers on the scoreboard.

Mix in the offense is ready to break out with the defense who has only allowed 6 second-half points all season, yes all season. This has all of the makings for the Boise State Broncos to unleash a beat down on the Rebels.

1. Broncos offensive line holds

You may not think this is a bold prediction for the Boise State O-Line to play well against a team that has struggled this year. That would mean you haven’t watched the Broncos O-Line allow quarterback Hank Bachmeier to be on of the most pressured quarterbacks through the first half of the season.

Giving up nine sacks in just four games and having the freshman get hit play after play has not been a recipe for success on the offensive end and has the Broncos becoming one dimensional with the run game as the only outlet.

This should be a completely opposite story on Saturday as the Broncos get back Ezra Cleveland and John Ojukwu on the offensive line and are getting more and more healthy each week. The offensive line should give Bachmeier and the rest of the offense plenty of time to get the receivers to spread out. Expect the offensive line to have a great day against the Rebels.
